Shooting out in the Mojave desert at night created a plethora of challenges for this crew, including freezing temperatures and 30+ MPH winds. Nevertheless, Drone Dudes was on set providing both aerial lighting and cinematography for this piece. Two Alta X heavy lift aircraft were used on this production, one with a 60,000 lumen Stratus 2x2 LED light, and another outfitted with an Alexa Mini LF for aerial capture. The lighting array on the drone was controlled wirelessly by the dimmer operator, who created a custom pattern that is fed to the drone light via Ratpac lighting control systems.
